Christian Opportunity Center (COC) announces a record $37,042 donation from the Pella Knights of Columbus (KoC) through their 2025 Campaign for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities, marking the largest contribution COC has received from the Knights. The funds will be directed toward building improvements that are needed to modernize our 50-year-old building, including updates and improvements in the Pella Life Skills area. This is a space where individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities work on developing life skills, connecting with others, and engaging in meaningful daily experiences. These prospective updates would make the environment more inviting, accessible, and better suited to the sensory, social, and functional needs of the people COC supports.
“The Pella Knights of Columbus continue year after year to be true champions for individuals with disabilities in our community,” said Jodi Tukker, COC Executive Director. “They truly walk the talk. They don’t just give—they show up, ask questions, visit our programs, and take the time to understand the people we support and the work we do here. Their generosity goes far beyond writing a check, and it makes a real impact.”
The Pella Knights of Columbus raise funds annually to support organizations serving individuals with disabilities. Their ongoing partnership with COC has made a significant impact on program improvements and opportunities for the people supported across the agency.
