Spiritual Services
Through Christian Opportunity Center’s (COC) Spiritual Services program, COC works with people with disabilities to help them experience the joy of knowing that they are of value to God.
COC’s staff members regularly demonstrate Christian values through daily interactions with the people supported. Opportunities for devotion and prayer are a regular part of the lives of both COC staff and people supported.
Spiritual Services Facilitator
COC’s Spiritual Services facilitator is available to meet with people and offer guidance and comfort in times of crisis and personal needs. The facilitator encourages church attendance, leads Bible studies at COC and helps organize holiday celebrations. In addition, the facilitator provides guidance to the various Friendship Ministries Bible Study groups. These Bible studies are carried out in local churches and offer times of fellowship, learning, and participation. Participation is voluntary.
Spiritual Retreats
These retreats, for COC staff and people supported, provide opportunities for spiritual renewal and growth at a retreat center away from COC. Again, participation is voluntary.
