Searching for a self-starting, creative thinking candidate who can break down barriers to employment and locate community jobs for individuals with disabilities.
- Successful candidate must build lasting relationships & rapport with managers in charge & human resource departments.
- Responsible to effectively communicate our goals, purpose mission and efforts while also providing oversight/job coaching for individuals employed
- Responsible for working with people with disabilities to ensure that they are functioning at the highest level of responsibility and independence possible, within their individual interests, priority needs, skills, and abilities
- Ability to communicate and problem solve effectively
- Strong organizational skills
- Computer proficiency in word processing and spreadsheets
- Responsible to provide adults with disabilities training in functional academics including money management skills and to assist in providing activities for people supported in the Life Skills program
- Will ensure maintenance and development of skills for each person, including work, social, leisure/recreation, personal health and basic living
- Will provide training and support to people supported in the process of job coaching and community based employment. To provide training, support, and consultation to businesses employing persons supported in the Community Based Employment (CBE) program.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills required
- Monday through Friday day hours, with some occasional evening and weekend hours.
- Wage: $17+
- Must either have a 2-year degree, or 2 years’ experience in Community Based Employment.
